RE: [PATCH] FT: Add FT over-the-DS selection for SME based drivers

Hi Jouni,

The purpose of the config parameter is to allow the user to give a
preference for over-the-DS vs over-the-air. From a performance
perspective, over-the-air should be the fastest and therefore the
preferred choice. However, since support for over-the-air is mandatory
when a device supports FT and over-the-DS is optional, over-the-air would
always be selected even when over-the-DS is advertised by the AP.

Jasraj

Shouldn't wpa_supplicant select automatically the best approach without
requiring this type of user configuration parameter?
