I presume the peer ( Potential GC ) must be running p2p_find to receive invitation request and respond. I wish to ping the peer and hear a response without initiating any sought of connection. This is one of the reason I was looking at SD_Req. Correct me if I am wrong. The peer behavior depends on configuration and state (whether the group is previously known). There is not going to be any kind of group formation at this point since the group has already been formed (autonomous GO). If the peer has no knowledge of the group, you would simply see a P2P-INVITATION-RECEIVED event with "unknown-network" on the peer device. On the other hand, if you are using persistent groups, you can configure the peer to not use automatic re-invocation (not to use it is actually the default anyway) and instead, require higher layer action to join the group. -- Jouni Malinen PGP id EFC895FA _______________________________________________ Hostap mailing list Hostap@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/hostap
