it's an ongoing effort. GtkFileChooser is not a simple widget, and
what's hiding is a fairly complicated piece of code.

ideally, you'd not want an individual: a lot of people can contribute by
profiling the code and sending patches. it's free software, after all,
and patches are always welcome.
