You might find it a lot easier and more productive to simply upgrade
to the recently released Fedora Core 2 - that includes glib/gtk 2.4.1 as
part of the base install (plus you get all the OTHER things that were fixed
or improved or upgraded between FC1 and FC2).

Alternatively, you can probably install the FC2 rpm's for glib/gtk
on your FC1 system without too much dependency misery. (You probably
need a total of 8 RPMs - atk, atk-devel, pango, pango-devel, glib2, glib2-devel,
gtk2, and gtk2-devel).

Of course, if the bugfixes between 2.4.1 and 2.4.2 matter to you, this
might not be an option....
