(First let me say that I've searched all over on this. I know it's a common problem and has been discussed here; I just can't seem to find clear instructions on how to correct it.) I upgraded my XFree86 to the latest, stable version and now my gtk+ apps issue "Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported..." related messages. I've found references on Google about changing the locale settings, but I can't find a step-by-step "HowTo" for correctly configuring the locale information. (I've found the XFree86 locale files and tried changing LC_CTYPE, LC_ALL, etc. but that's not working.) Can someone point me to the appropriate instructions? I could live with the warnings--I don't have any locale-specific requirements--but there is a side-effect that now my gtk+ 1.2 applications no longer have anything showing in the title bar. (I don't know if this is related to locale or if it is another XFree86-related change.) My gtk+ 2.2.4 apps don't have this title bar problem; they work fine even though they also issue these locale warnings. Thanks for any help, Bill _______________________________________________ gtk-list@xxxxxxxxx http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gtk-list
