Hi, recently a pretty serious bug in OpenSSL was found that affects the security of all SSL/TLS services build using OpenSSL 1.0.1 (up to patchlevel f). This bug also affects programs using TLS for non-HTTP connections, like GnuGk. http://heartbleed.com/ The GnuGk executables on gnugk.org for Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris have been build using OpenSSL 0.9.8 or 1.0.0, so they should NOT be affected. The Windows executables ARE affected and need to be updated! Updates are not available, yet. On NetBSD and Solaris GnuGk uses shared libraries for OpenSSL that you should update using the respective package managers. If you have build your own executables, please check for yourself and rebuild with a fixed OpenSSL! With that settled, go update your SSL webserver now. ;-) http://filippo.io/Heartbleed/ Regards, Jan -- Jan Willamowius, Founder of the GNU Gatekeeper Project EMail : jan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Website: http://www.gnugk.org Support: http://www.willamowius.com/gnugk-support.html Relaxed Communications GmbH Frahmredder 91 22393 Hamburg Geschäftsführer: Jan Willamowius HRB 125261 (Amtsgericht Hamburg) USt-IdNr: DE286003584 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Put Bad Developers to Shame Dominate Development with Jenkins Continuous Integration Continuously Automate Build, Test & Deployment Start a new project now.
