Hi All,
I have two separate gnugks each receiving calls from the internet and
passing to the catchall correctly now (many thanks Jan for the pointer).
Endpoint 1 <-----> gnugk1 <-----> internet <-----> gnugk2 <-----> Endpoint 2
|
|
public endpoint
I can call in from a public endpoint outside of each network and calls
are fine too by using the domain name or the ext@domain syntax.
I can call from endpoints on each network to the public IP fine too.
Problem:
======
When I place a call from an endpoint on one network to an endpoint on
the other network using the H323 url, the call connects but I cannot see
or hear the other side.
What is making it difficult is that I cannot be in two places at the
same time. I have tried connecting the two networks via VPN and then the
call works flawlessly, but that's defeating the objective and is getting
me really confused.
I assumed it may have something to do with the RTP ports used at each of
the endpoints and there is a port mismatch if I use endpoints from
different vendors.
I don't want the gnugks to be neighbors.
My gnugks are set exactly the same at each end except for the network
addresses. My firewalls are the same as well as the port forwards.
I tried with PVX at each end, but I do not get audio or video. I also
tried with Mirial but no success.
I'll try running a Wireshark trace on each gnugk interface to see what
is happening and post further later.
Here is my config:
