Make sure you release your changes back to the community as GnuGk is GNU licenced...
Now that is out of the way :)

Download istool from www.istool.org and open the gnugk.iss file. Extract the existing v2.2.6 zip file into contrib\WinInstaller\GnuGk\ then replace the bin\gnugk.exe from the zip file with your build then create the install package with istool.

Subject: How do I create a setup.exe from gnugk sourcecode???

Hi,

I have downloaded the GnuGK source code and compiled it with Microsoft Visual C++ (along with pwlib, etc).
I have built it from scratch because I wanted to edit the source code to provide some kind of dynamic bandwidth control. (That's another matter :) )

This creates gnugk.exe in C:\Program Files\gnugk-2.2.6\Release

At the moment I have simply moved this gnugk.exe to the directory:
C:\Program Files\C:\Program Files\gnugk-2.2.6\contrib\WinInstaller\Install
where the gatekeeper.ini file is located, and to run the gatekeeper I am just running the .exe file from there.

It's all working fine, but I would like to somehow find a way of setting it up like the pre-built version (GnuGKSetup226.exe) that
creates all the access to the gatekeeper through the Start menu>Program Files. (i.e. Add User, Monitor, etc)

Is there some way of simply incorporating my gnugk.exe into the GnuGKSetup2.2.6.exe? Or another way???

I haven't had any experience with creating install applications, so don't really know what I'm doing.

I just didn't want to start trying to make an install aplication if there was some way to do it with the files already provided, etc....

Any help please???

Thanks,
Bec
