Dmitry,

the calls fail due to T303 timer expiry (4seconds by recommendations,
typical vendor settings 5seconds), which is correct protocol behaveour since
x.x.x.x didn't send any packet to you.

this is the critical part of your log:

2007/10/11 11:49:43.770 3 yasocket.cxx(654) Q931d x.x.x.x:1720
Error(1): Input/output error (12:57)
2007/10/11 11:49:43.798 1 ProxyChannel.cxx(2957) Q931d Could not
open/connect Q.931 socket at pu.bl.ic.ip:20001 - error 10/4: Interrupted
system call

but since you said Ethereal shows 2 packets going to x.x.x.x it means your
gk is working fine and x.x.x.x didn't reply to h.225 call setup within
T303... However the logs look like your gk machine couldn't open this
socket, don't know why but you need to check at OS and IP layers... may
worth trying calling left to right when y.y.y.y is unplugged from the
network and see if you get the same in the logs... and maybe send to this
list your ethereal capture.

Cheers
