[OT] Minimalistic GSM gateway

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi!

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but maybe someone could be so kind and
point me in a direction.

We're looking to terminate H.323 calls into GSM. I know there are
special appliances for that (GSM switches, 8 or 16 units in a rack), but
the probem is those devices are in the 4-digit USD / EUR rnage.

Does anyone know of a simple and cheap "software only" solution which
might be based just on a regular mobile phone connected to a Linux box
through USB to have one GSM channel available?

Does anyone know of a good reason why this is *not* going to work?

Regards,
Torsten
