GNU Gatekeeper 2.2.4
====================

A new stable version of the GNU Gatekeeper has been released.

Source code and executables for Linux and Windows can be downloaded from
http://www.gnugk.org/h323download.html

The most important new feature in this release is call failover that
enables GnuGk to transparently retry failed calls. This feature has been
sponsored by a number of commercial GnuGk users, among them Xynergia
Inc, Advanced Communications and CORE Technologies.

Other notable changes include fully working ENUM support, a new
CapacityControl module to limit the call volume on a single gatekeeper,
the StatusAcct to provide fully configurable accounting messages on the
status port, support for Firebird (InterBase) as additional
database backend, unregistered NATed callers and many, many other small
improvements.

The complete Changelog is appended to this announcement.

For more information on compiling the source code, please see
http://www.gnugk.org/compiling-gnugk.html

Regards,
Jan

I will check in the fix once I can re-establish CVS developers access.

At present the ACD function does not support unregistered callers. Callers
must be registered. Hopefully we can get this fixed. Also not all
unregistered callers receive NAT support and a fix is being worked on for
that too.

Hi, I've read the documentation but still can't seem to figure out how
to restrict a gateway to only work for certain endpoints. Let's say I have
a gateway with prefix "#9" registered with the gatekeeper and I only
want registered E.164 endpoints "8321234", "8321236", and
"8321239" to be able to use the #9 prefix to place outgoing calls through
the gateway. Any suggestions on how to restrict a gateway to only
work for certain endpoints?

Thanks,
Brian
