My recommendation is to use a backend that you know best.
Without proper management and good knowledge DBMS
it is easy to run into performance problems.
My personal choice is PostgreSQL, it's definitelly more mature
DBMS.

I am currently using FileAcct on my GnuGK.
Want to use SQL accounting. What is recommended? MySQL or PostgreSQL?
I'm familiar with both, but would like your ideas / tips / insights.
Is it ok to use the DB Server on the same machine as the GnuGK?

Regards
HASSAAN
