It is mostly a network problem. GnuGK forwards the socket by its own, it does not rely on the Linux/FreeBSD ip_forwarding mechanism. When GnuGK established an incoming socket (with the calling party), it proxies the socket to the called party. Due to a network problem (God knows what exactly) it can not open a socket to the called party. That is what I think.
