Glad to read that. Personally, I run gatekeepers on FreeBSD 5.2/5.3
successfully too - this is a really nice OS. Although I encountered
various problems on FreeBSD 5.4.

I have 2.2.3 GK (not late but 20 days old release) running for 20 days in
full proxy mode with about 20 reloads via telnet because of routes change
and about 3th calls per day with 20-25 peak calls several times a day on
P4-3.0GHz-2048MB box with FreeBSD 5.3 (p5). Server uptime is 130 days.
