When I run the status monitor command of rv I would like some info on the displayed data. I'm using 4 servers with GNUGK 2.2.1 The servers which run Centos 3 are showing up in 'top' with multiple threads, whereas with FC3 in 'top' there is just 1 process w/ no threads showing up. (ok so far) When I run the 'rv' command in the Status monitor, my Centos 3 systems are showing large numbers for the # of lock requests. In the source code, it looks like it's the # of requests for the mutex lock, m_usedCount . But, why is it so large, if only 3 calls are up right now???? Does the value represent a problem being so high? As can be seen with the 2nd entry, even with NO active call it's not <1> like my unused endpoints are?? I use Permanent Endpoints and do full proxy with this server. I'm on Centos-3 with dual Opteron processors. It's output from the rv command which would seem normal to me is below.
