Hello, I have an asterisk machine behind a firewall. I've been evaluating Linux VoIP phones. Gnomemeeting is by far the best, and it uses H.323. I'm trying to deploy gnomemeeting on my laptop, which will be either behind the same firewall as asterisk, on the public internet (i.e. when I'm in a server room), or behind another NAT across the internet somewhere. gnomemeeting -> LAN -> asterisk work great. gnomemeeting -> internet -> NAT -> asterisk fails. gnomemeeting -> NAT -> internet -> NAT -> asterisk fails too. I'm port forwarding TCP ports 1719, 1720, 1721 to the asterisk machine. And TCP/UDP 10,000 - 20,000 for RTP traffic (both SIP and H.323). Unfortunately, H.323 doesn't seem to work as well as SIP across NATs, even though gnomemeeting has a STUN client and I run a STUN server. Can gnugk be placed between the firewall's NAT and asterisk to provide H.323 address translation and make this setup work? Or am I out of luck? -- Jesse Guardiani, Systems Administrator WingNET Internet Services, P.O.
