If the status port does not respond to almost any commands (like rv or cv) this may mean the gatekeeper hanged up.

I've been trying to spot the difference between the first call (that works)
and the second one (that fails).
On the first call, after the ARQ is deleted on gk-a, a TCP socket is selected, and Q931 messages are passed between the clients and the two gatekeepers using the proxy.
For the second (failing) call, we still see the ARQ being deleted, but gk-a
does not appear to try and set up a Q931 channel - we do not see the line:
'TCPServer 1 sockets selected from 6'.
I'm not sure how much use this information is. I've kind of run out of
ideas on how to debug this further. Does anyone have any bright ideas? Is
anyone using v.2.2.1 in proxy mode with neighbours ?
Any sensible suggestions welcome.

Attached are the log files (level 6 trace) from the two gatekeepers. The set up is
Lloyd.2000 gk-a gk-b lloyd.adams
192.168.1.13 --> 192.168.1.11 192.168.60.1 <-- 192.168.90.18
195.153.69.212 <---> 192.153.69.194
The sequnce of events is
1. lloyd.2000 calls lloyd.adams - successful 2. lloyd.2000 calls lloyd.adams - fails
As I said, after this sequence nothing will work. Cannot even get the status port to respond to some commands (though it does respond to q if that is the first thing tried).
Any other information required, please let me know.
