Hi Jason, > After I successfully make my IP phone works, I am so greedy that I want > more than just communicate. I want something like a Keynote or even a PBX > system-like stuff. It can register to your GK, or you can define * as a permanent endpoint in your GK config. You specify the prefixes that should be sent to *, and * will decode the called number to determine how to handle the call. > 2) Does Asterisk support H.323 call transfer // hold with music? I really > have no idea on how it works! I believe that * does not yet support H.450, but it does handle transfer, forwarding, conferencing, and music on hold, by proxying the media stream. This can cause delay / quality problems if both ends of the call are far away on the Internet, but it is usually not a problem if at least one end of the call is on your LAN or close by. [With SIP, * can do a true transfer by reinvite.] --Stewart P.S. I am curious how you got your Planet phone to work behind Windows NAT. ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
