hi stewart,

first, sorry if the reply doesn't go into the thread, i'm just using the re: subject since i'm not a list subscriber.

the error is mine here, i pasted the wrong ACF log ; it's really 01116 there...; i just did another test with 01130, and it's the same:

ACF|192.168.0.70:1720|9599_endp|30272|01130:dialedDigits|drj_gw2:h323_ID=00502d00260a:h323_ID|false;
DCF|192.168.0.70|9599_endp|30272|normalDrop;

however, i found out that this happens only when enabling h245_tunneling on the vip and having H245Routed=1 set on gnugk. with either one or the other disabled, everything works well. i thought i tried to modify this parameter long before this post when i was doing tests, but it seems i didn't, or there was another problem at the same time :(

i guess that with H245Routed=1, gnugk waits for the logical channel(s) to be established after the first ACF is logged. however the logical channels are encapsulated in the call control channel when h245tunneling is enabled on the vip, so it seems gnugk doesn't catch them.
or, since i'm really far from being a h323 guru, i'm completely wrong, which wouldn't surprise me. the strange thing is that on the other gateways that have h245 tunneling, i don't have this problem.

stewart, do you have the same behavior with both h245 tunneling on your vip and routing enabled in gnugk ?

thanks again for your help,

ivan

 The 02116 in the ACF is very strange. Something (presumably the VIP or the GK)
 is translating 01 to 02. From VIP command line do "atpm alist" and be sure that the
 Address entry for "0" has Prefix strip = 0 and Prefix Address = None.
 Make sure that this is the only entry starting with 0, and that the atpm config
 is active and saved.

 Is there anything in your GK config that could be rewriting the number?

 If you can"t find anything obvious, run Ethereal and look at the number
 in the ARQ and in the ACF to see where it is getting altered.

 I have some VIP-400 running with gnugk and can call from FXS ports ok.
