Title: Newbie Question, apologies

Hi,

New user looking at using the gatekeeper sorry for the lame questions.

Previously I was trying to get Asterisk to talk to an OKI BV1250 Gatekeeper but for some odd reason they won't talk, OKI informed me that the OKI routers would talk to OpenH323GK so I thought ok maybe I can use it as a proxy to communicate between Asterisk and the OKI VoIP router.

So what I am trying to accomplish is

Asterisk  -->  OpenH323GK  -->  OKI BV1250

Basically the way I was looking at it is

Asterisk box Extension 69X[0-9] ip address 192.168.69.1, if I use H.323 then I would put the port at 1820 instead of 1720

(Maybe I could just SIP to communicate between the Asterisk box in the OpenH323GK)

OpenH323GK on 192.168.69.1:1720 would be setup as
Extension 69X -> 192.168.69.1:1820
Extension 1XX -> 192.168.254.250:1720
Extension 2XX -> 192.168.20.250:1720
Extension 610 -> 192.168.30.250:1720
etc

The other units are setup to talk to 192.168.69.1:1720 already for Extensions 69X

Or if I could do it by sip.conf

Extension 69X -> 192.168.69.1:5070 (SIP)

The rest in H323, G729.1 and G723.1A(5.3K)
Extension 1XX -> 192.168.254.250:1720

Any suggestions on configuration ini's ?

Does this seem feasible.

Thank you in advance for any help.

James
