Increase the log level of GNUgk to see why it rejected it.

Also, you edited your config files that much, I have to guess 
what the problem is. I would check if there's some password 
mismatch between what gnugk1 sends and what gnugk2 expects to 
receive. Or maybe which prefixes gnugk2 is allowed to send 
back to gnugk1.

PS. reposting the same question twice with hardly any obvious 
changes to an email is not very nice ;-)
