Hi all, I have found that the problem I had with Netmeeting 3.01 on a Windows2000 machine trying to register with a GNUgk 2.0.7 on Debian 3.0 machine had nothing to do with the gatekeeper but everything with Netmeeting. For some yet unresolved reason, Netmeeting would not send out any H.323 packets at all (inspecting with Ethereal) after setting the gatekeeper details. However it expected incoming RCF packets so it concluded 'gatekeeper not found'. There was some other error too, all options on the video tab of tools->options were completely greyed out, even though I had a webcam installed properly. Even reinstallation of Netmeeting did not resolve those issues. The frustrating thing was that my neighbour did have Netmeeting running correctly on Windows2000... So although I still don't know what caused the erratic behaviour, I am glad to be back on Windows XP again, smoothly registering Netmeeting with GNUgk! I have setup the GNU gatekeeper v2.0.7 on a Linux machine (Debian 3 with 2.4 kernel). My gatekeeper uses AliasAuth, allowing the alias 'rene'. On another machine (Windows2000) on the same network, I have Netmeeting 3.01 running. When I configure Netmeeting with 'Use a gatekeeper to place calls', entering the IP address of my gatekeeper machine, and 'Logon using my account name', entering 'rene', Netmeeting says 'Gatekeeper not found'.
