Re: Understanding of VirtualQueues

Hi Glen,

The RouteToAlias command should give GnuGk the real target where the call is to be routed to.
Thus your gateways don't need to be listed in VirtualQueueAliases otherwise you will have RouteRequest messages again and again when trying to route calls to them.

Are you using this feature to achieve some ACD functionnality ?
If not, a good configuration of [RasSrv::GWPrefixes] should be enough to make your call be routed to the right gateway considering their prefix.

Maybe can you provide an example of what you are trying to do with the VQueues for further help :-)

Best regards
Loic

Good folk,

I apparently don't understand VirtualQueues; if someone could verify or
correct my understanding, I would appreciate it.

If I pass a number with the prefix specified in VirtualQueuePrefixes,
the status port will give me a RouteRequest message, & will expect a
RouteToAlias command specifying the h323id of the actual gateway to be
routed to.

I assume that the h323id name of the destination gateway also has to be
specified in VirtualQueueAliases.

This does not seem to work. Am I right? Wrong? Misunderstanding?

Thank you, Glen
