As a matter of fact - I had the same problem. Primer: eth0:192.168.1.24 eth1:1.1.1.1 route add default gw 1.1.1.2(<---This is my ISP gw) Thus when started gnugk stated: "Started on 1.1.1.1" - all the calls were ok but before that no matter what, it just kept saying that is was started on 192.168.1.24.
