yes i do this all the time.

this line really depends. if i dial for example usa and you want to identify 
me by 111 i would dial 111 1 555 555 1212 then this number will be re-written 
to 100#111 1 555 555 1212 and gk would attempt to route this call to gw1.

now gw 1 must understand that it will recieve this re-written number with the 
100#111 and know to strip these digits and likely re-write to a normalized 
number that will terminate like 1 555 555 1212.

if the remote gw does not accept this prefix then call will fail..
