I meant a situation like this:
two endpoints (192.168.1.10,192.168.1.11) in a private LAN (192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0)
connected to the public IP network through some NAT box (let's say it has two interfaces:
192.168.1.1 - private, 213.213.213.213 - public)
gnugk running on a machine in front of NAT - withing public IP network - let's say 217.217.217.217.

ProxyForSameNAT=1 should enable both endpoints to communicate to each other
(assuming the endpoints support some kind of CitronProxy for signaling). But it is not
working - at least in my opinion it does not have any chance to do so. The reason is
simple - GNUGK cannot determine the source of audio udp packets - whether it is
ep A or ep B, because both have the same IP. As a conclusion, it seems that ProxyForSameNAT
is useless. Unless I missed something. Any opinions?

What does it mean "Some machine with public IP, not the one that does NAT"?
Does it mean "The hole in the FierWall"?
Or does it mean "Not the same LAN machine"?
Probably there is still more interpretations, but they do not occur to me.
