I undertand what you talk about. Maybe I wasn't clear. There was only one packet in which radius sent allowed time to talk - probably it was in accounting-accept - I'm not even sure anymore. Why I'm not sure you may ask... I decided to go easy way - I deleted all the files of that radius and switched to freeradius&linux. I dodn't already care about that problem I had (I blame it for the radius server - it also had strage problem connecting mysql when my db wasn't on localhost) HOWEVER (!!!) I spent already 3 days trying to configure freeradius (I haven't tried yet to configure - just to understand how to do so and if it's possible to make it go my way...) Looks like it has too many usless modules (such as usernames in files) and solely oriented to dialup (not as much as it's suitable to voip). I'm quite a newbie in *nix world, but installing empty PH9, compiling and installing apache+mysql+php took me less than a day. So, I'm looking at my working WinXP+radius+AquaGK box, and really doubt if my effort to move to linux was worth it. Instead, I'm considering to change Check(...) methods of RadAliasCheck RadAuth and all others that take care of constructing a radius packet and make them do direct authentication/accounting against a db. I don't like this decision cause it's not universal; for example, if I ever happen to have to configure a cisco box probably I'll need to setup a radius and recompile back original gnugk. For the time being I don't see any suitable soution towards moving to gnugk for me... or I'll try to look some other radiuses. On windows I used AquaGK (aqua.comptek.ru), WinRadius (http://www.itconsult2000.com/en/product/WinRadius.html) WindowsXP (microsoft.com ;))) PS. is there any quick how-to or a tutorial around for configuring a radius for voip??? > > It is important whether your radius server returns session-timeout/h323-credit-time > in Accounting-Response or Access-Accept packet?
