Re: Radius Integration degrades performace by 50% to 100%

I'm going to ask some silly questions, but I'm sort of known for that.

1.) Which version of gnugk is doing this?

2.) does it only happen with freeradius? I've been using gnuradius with no problems... No load, but no problems. I've been running 2.0.6 and 2.2.

Hi All,

I've managed to pinpoint a bit more, the problem is in RadAcct. The minute
RadAcct is enabled, it takes about 10 minutes for the GGK to stop sending
requests to RADIUS, and it would require a reset to GGK.

Hi All,

Ok, I've done some more digging, and what I've found is really troubling.
GGK for no aparent reason will stop sending Requests to RADIUS, and will reject
all calls. Issuing a reload on the status port will cause a few requests to flow,
but then stops again. Only a restart of gnugk will re-enable the system again.

Could it be a bug in radauth?

What would be good values for the timeouts and CallSignalHandler?
My GnuGK is a Dual Pentium III 933 with 1GB RAM.

Another thing is that if you are using the signaling routed mode
and radius auth/acct, increasing CallSignalHandlerNumber should
result in a better performance.

I've been fiddeling with RadAliasAuth lately, and came to a funky
dead lock or something. When the GGK works withoug RadAuth, the system
works fine and can handle over 200 concurrent calls, easily.

The minute I enable radius in the configuration, it seems as if the
entire system becomes slugish, and won't handle the capacity needed.
In addition, at some point in time, the GGK will simply stop forwarding
calls to termination points.

I'm using FreeRadius with the rlm_sql enabled. Anybody encountered this
before?
