Yes. It can be slightly more efficient - but no big difference. The only case when the continuous control is required is when you have simultaneus calls from a single account. The rest is done by RadAuth/RadAliasAuth modules (call duration limit for a single call). There is another problem - many radius servers (including FreeRADIUS) do not include any attributes with Accunting-Responses. And the last but not least - sending an accounting update must be as quick as possible - we cannot wait for until the server replies with an answer, otherwise call duration limit control for other calls will not be precise.
