Regrettably, 
OpenJDK 6: http://openjdk.dev.java.net/ does not appear to support IRIX.  I was thinking about just copying the solaris-specific files.  
I'm losing hope here, but Does anyone know of an openjdk port onto irix?  Would it be as difficult as I think it would?
