Re: Enable mobile broadband

It is interesting to me that Debian 6 fails to configure my Rage XL video board correctly on my SPARC box, but OpenBSD does it with no issue.  Sometimes I wonder about GNU/Linux with respect to developer testing.  (Is there any?)  I am beginning to think that most versions of GNU/Linux are too "bleeding edge" for any serious work.

Hi,

It was an upgrade (Gnome3 hits Debian testing).
Modemmanager 0.5 is installed. I can't see in dmesg any
errors. After pluging in the stick all initialization is done.
The stick is polling the network. But I dont get a PIN dialog.

Hey,
Was it just a gnome upgrade or a whole system upgrade?
Please check if you've still a package named modemmanager installed.

Cheers,
C

Hi,

Since last week I upgrade to Gnome3. I must say.... I like the concept and usability of Gnome3.
After upgrading to Gnome3 I cannot use my broadband USB stick. Also the Network menu
doesnt show any broadband options.

Did I miss an option/program/module?

TIA
