Was it just a gnome upgrade or a whole system upgrade?
Please check if you've still a package named modemmanager installed.

After upgrading to Gnome3 I cannot use my broadband USB stick. Also the Network menu
doesnt show any broadband options.
Did I miss an option/program/module?
