Just upgraded from 2.22.1 to 2.22.2 on Fedora 9 and experienced the same issues that you described, browser crashes on most sites. Although I have to say that 2.22.1 was quite stable with gecko. I see numerous bugs in bugzilla related to this, here is one of them http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=538944 PS there is an epiphany mailing list on gnome, consider posting there in the future for better support.
