Typing special characters

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I just upgraded my Ubuntu Dapper amd64 to Edgy amd64. Previously in any
application I could type Ctrl+Shift plus a hex code and it would type
the Unicode character for that hex code. E.g., to get a schwa, type Ctrl
+Shift+1DD.

Since upgrading to Edgy this no longer works in any application. I am a
student of linguistics and I really need this capability. What
happened, and how can I fix it?
