You could head to http://live.gnome.org and make some sort of programming style guide for us all to use. GnomeLove might be a good place to influence new developers. That way the knowledge can be collected and passed on to those not reading their mail exactly this moment. If you want the 2.95 blockers fixed by the maintainers you need to open up specific bugs on a case-by-case basis on http://bugzilla.gnome.org, and include your rationale for the bugs. Otherwise the maintainers will never see this email, or look out for the specific problems.
