After IBM takeover, a lot of projects were "frozen" from Red Hat side... Sadly, they were the biggest contributor which leads to this bad perspective.
Despite there are no new releases, some but fixes were merged, so you can compile from source and then generate RPM packages using that source.
I'm not sure how the DEBs were done.
