As a general rule I use LVM on all my systems disks.
It has saved me a few times.
On the other hand gluster is designed to just handle a bunch of individual disks so there is some value in the simplicity of just using raw drives.
Our requirement was for simple mirroring of a VERY large filesystem so using a hardware raid array was the easiest way to go.

I am afraid of lvm going to disk failure.
So if I have 2 disk and one crashes, I thing all LVM goes bad!So, I have decided to used individual disk. Thanks

As a general rule this is ok.Hi there.
Any problems to use 2 NVMe joined together via lvm, and than on top of that, great a Gluster volume?
Cheers
We have several gluster volumes built on top of an LVM underlying structure.
