Based on https://docs.gluster.org/en/latest/Administrator%20Guide/Managing%20Snapshots/ you will be able to create a consistent snapshot.
Mounting happens only via FUSE and then you will be able to backup the information from there.

Keep in mind that you are still using the Gluster Bricks as a snapshot backend - and the backup can cause performance issues if your volume was reaching the bricks' limits.

hi all

I want to have backup  for my glusterfs storage for disaster recovery. But I don't want to use the geo-replication solution.

Is there any way to use a snapshot for disaster recovery? I don't know if I am right or no??but is it the right way??
first: make a initial copy of the storage in place b
second: take daily  snapshot and move to the place b
