The Gluster community is pleased to announce the release of Gluster 3.10.5 (packages available at [1]).

Release notes for the release can be found at [2].

We are still awaiting feedback on a major issue that is reported in the release-notes as follows, all known issues resulting in this corruption are fixed in this build.

* Expanding a gluster volume that is sharded may cause file corruption
- Sharded volumes are typically used for VM images, if such volumes are expanded or possibly contracted (i.e add/remove bricks and rebalance) there are reports of VM images getting corrupted. - The last known cause for corruption [#1467010](https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1467010) has a fix with this release.

Testing feedback on this issue can be sent to the gluster lists or updated in the mentioned bug above.

Thanks,
Gluster community
