processed by Geo-rep/Glusterfind and other consumers.

This is not an entirely critical issue, but it seems kinda silly when
we have a 3 GB volume with 300 MB data that there is a growth of
metadata among the lines of 500 MB a month.
We can just bite the bullet and accept the overhead, but we would
prefer to not have to do that.
