unbalanced data on glusterfs 3.2.5

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Greetings,

Merry Christmas.

I have currently come into possession of 2x glusterfs 3.2.5 nodes. (Yes I know this is an old version, but this is all I have at the moment before upgrading)

It appears that the data on the master node and the replicated node is inconsistent.

My question is, how do i re-sync both nodes? Server 1 to Server 2 and from Server 2 to Server 1.

EG:

Server 1

#ll
total 100
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root    45 Dec 26 11:36 file
drwxr-xr-x. 2   48 1000 45056 Dec 19 14:25 fvt
drwxr-xr-x. 2   48 1000 40960 Dec 19 13:47 pfv
drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root  4096 Dec 26 11:06 testdir

Server 2

# ll
total 96
drwxr-xr-x. 2   48 1000 40960 Dec 19 14:25 fvt
drwxr-xr-x. 2   48 1000 45056 Dec 19 13:47 pfv
drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root  4096 Dec 26 11:06 testdir

(missing file named: file)

I have tried running the command from the master and slave node.

# gluster volume rebalance fvideo_test fix-layout start
nothing to rebalance on volume fvideo_test

# gluster volume rebalance fvideo_test migrate-data start
nothing to rebalance on volume fvideo_test

Server 1

# gluster volume info all

Volume Name: fvideo_test
Type: Replicate
Status: Started
Number of Bricks: 2
Transport-type: tcp
Bricks:
Brick1: gnzogfs03:/fv_test
Brick2: gnzogfs04:/fv_test

Server 2

#gluster volume info all

Volume Name: fvideo_test
Type: Replicate
Status: Started
Number of Bricks: 2
Transport-type: tcp
Bricks:
Brick1: gnzogfs03:/fv_test
Brick2: gnzogfs04:/fv_test

on the client side it cannot be done. as the volume is not bricked there.

Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Thank you
Kind Regards

M@gnzo
