Hey,

does any one met such unexpected behavior of glusterFS?

We have gluster mounted and serve as OpenStack glance volume, the owner
is, say, glace:glance

however we did some instance snapshot, and then found that the volume
owner changed to root:root

Would you know if there was a restart of the glusterfsd/brick daemons during or around this activity?

There was a recent fix [1] for a problem with similar symptoms and I am wondering if the root cause could be the same.

Vijay
