I've seen some curious "hangs" once a month or so with glusterfs 2.x and "normal" system usage - but I didn't have a way to reproduce it (I didn't try iozone, though). I upgraded to glusterfs 3.0.4 and hoped it will cure my hangs, then thought it's a good idea to test it with iozone... And hence the hangs.
