NUFA w/ AFR ?

Hello all,

I am curious to know if anybody is using NUFA with AFR, or indeed
whether this is desirable, or even possible.

The scenario is a simple one : a series of web servers, each one both a
gluster server and client, and since the data is collective, they would
all mount one big AFR'd dataspace. The idea would be to have each
server "preferring" to access itself (from a client perspective),
instead of reaching out across the network needlessly.

The Gluster wiki has an entry which appears to deal with a similar
scenario, though i'm not entirely sure i understand what's being proposed :
http://www.gluster.org/docs/index.php/Understanding_AFR_Translator#Clustered_Mode

Comments are greatly appreciated.
