Debian take care for packaging on Debian, Ubuntu for their debs, OpenSuSE for their rpms,  CentOS is part of RedHat and they can decide for it.

CentOS is not part of Red Hat - we support it, as other companies, organizations and individuals do. 

All are welcome to join the CentOS Storage SIG[1] which takes care of Gluster packaging.
