dynamically add/remove volumes/bricks?

hiho@ll

currently i'm reading glusterfs documentation and i was asking myself if
it's possible to add/remove/modify volume configurations during runtime?
within the doc's i only found static examples of configuration files which
are loaded at gluster startup
Q1: maybe it's already implemented but didn't find it: is it possible to
modify volume configurations (e.g. mount points or balancing algorithms)
during runtime? if yes any hint would be great
Q2: if no is there a clever workaround to achive this?

thx@ll
