err, that's why i used 'copy' in the key sequence...
Still not that nice to type.

Anyhow, i'd be interested in the larger picture of that workflow:
- you're working in the 'stone quarry' of an aquired bitmap here?
- would it help to first cut out the 'fossil' as a whole and
  to segment it later on?
.. this probably just shows i haven't understood what you're doing..
