Because our experience in the pre-releases has shown that it is extremely difficult to provide a working spec file. And even if we managed to provide on, it would be specific for a particular distribution. So we should either provide spec files for all major distributions as well as portsfiles for the various BSD flavours and rules to build Debian packages and a configuration file for a Win32 installer or no such file at all.
