might be the problem described in
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104693

You should search Bugzilla for a similar report and if you don't find
one, file a new bug-report for it. Please include as much information
as possible. In particular we'd like to know if you compiled gimp
yourself and which compiler / compiler settings you used.
