Thanks for all the help or getting me started. I have succesfully installed gimp perl and written a perl script that creates thumbnails from PDF files. The question I have is; Is there a way to force open a pdf file ? The problem seems to be that if a PDF file doesnt have all the fonts embedded properly it will not open in Gimp.In acrobat the file will open without all the fonts embedded . Is this a bug or is there another way to open them in Gimp? Also ,How do I make the script watch a folder so that when files are placed in it the script automatically runs? Thanks fo all the Help!!
